PINC & STEEL Cancer Rehabilitation

Jurien Bay Physiotherapy is a certified Cancer Rehabilitation Practice

The PINC & STEEL program is an internationally recognised evidence based rehabilitation program for cancer patients, dedicated to improving strength, capacity & quality of life for men & women diagnosed with all types of cancer.

Cancer treatments such as surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy can have unwanted side effects including fatigue, breathing difficulties, nausea, pain and numbness in the hands and feet. Certified Cancer Rehabilitation Physiotherapists are trained to work with cancer patients to manage these side effects, optimize quality of life, maximize your recovery, regain physical and emotional strength as well as improve body confidence and control.

Early detection and intervention of physical impairments resulting from cancer treatment is vitally important in preventing further functional decline. You don’t need to wait until your treatments are finished to see a cancer rehab physiotherapist, in fact dealing with these issues early is often easier than addressing problems that have progressed over months or even years.
