Orthotic Prescription
Common foot problems
Many foot or lower limb problems are due in part to faulty foot position or ‘biomechanics’.
‘Flat feet’, ‘high arches’ and ‘over pronation’ are all terms used to describe foot posture that may benefit from the correct prescription of orthotics.
What are orthotics?
Orthotics are shoe inserts used to correct the alignment of the foot, which may in turn help with ankle, knee and hip alignment and associated problems such as calf pain, shin splints and’growing pains’ in children
Expert fitting is essential
We supply and fit custom moulded orthotics which come in different densities and sizes, suitable for very young children, adults and the elderly as well as athletes. We have a strong working relationship with the Podiatrists from ‘Ankle and Foot Health Group’ who regularly visit Jurien Bay and are happy to refer patients on to them should further expert help be required.
